Fireflies Learning provides individualized private teaching for students from Kindergarten through Grade 6, as well as older students who need additional support with foundational literacy or math skills.

Programs are informed by assessment and designed around each student's current skills, learning needs and goals. Instruction is available in person in Oakville or virtually through Google Meet.

Orton-Gillingham Reading Instruction

Structured, explicit literacy instruction informed by Orton-Gillingham principles, with a focus on phonics, decoding, spelling, fluency, morphology and comprehension.

Spelling, Writing & Morphology

Developing understanding of word structure, spelling patterns, sentence construction and written expression.

Math

Individualized instruction targeting foundational and grade-level math skills, including number sense, computation, fluency, problem solving and mathematical reasoning.

Combination

A combination of literacy and math instruction based on your child's individual learning priorities.
