Diagnostic Assessments
(30 to 60 minutes)
$70
If you’re unsure about your child’s current level in math or literacy, I’m happy to conduct a diagnostic assessment in the areas you’re concerned about. A diagnostic assessment is required before purchasing any of my services, as it helps ensure support is tailored to your child’s needs.
To ensure that I can create the most effective learning plan for your child, I conduct a diagnostic assessment with all new students. The duration of the assessment varies depending on the specific assessments needed and your child's pace. This process helps me understand their current skill levels, identify their learning needs, and determine the best next steps for their instruction. I typically prefer to conduct these assessments in person, either at a local library or at your home.
Examples of Diagnostic Assessments
Following the diagnostic assessment, I'll prepare a detailed overview of your child's strengths, learning goals, and my proposed lesson plan. You can see an example of this document here: Lesson Tracker. About a week after the assessment, I'll share this information with you and would be delighted to schedule a Google Meet to discuss the plan in more detail and answer any questions you may have.
